Sometimes it is best to just take my hands off the keyboard. I am reading William Gibson presently and trying to dream up some way to go on a road trip, to distract myself. My spirit is somewhat crushed at the moment, and euthanasia isn't really an option. I was charmed by my newest CD, the Flaming Lips Zaireeka... the first track of that unusual work expresses my theme for the month: i don't know why things are the way they are. I am forced to once again close my eyes, hold my nose, and walk my path blindly. Love sucks, and it is everything in the world.
BTW: CSPAN is airing a live broadcast called Diversity in Radio, a symposium held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. It is incredible. I would love to meet everyone there; it is a confluence of liberal media professionals. They are discussing the practicalities of delivering our message, and it is VERY worthwhile watching.
